Effect of expansion of Shine-Dalgarno sequence for overexpression of nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide oxidase gene from Deinococcus geothermalis in Escherichia coli

Thermostable enzymes have applications in biosensors and bioreactors. Overexpression of thermostable enzyme-encoding genes from thermophiles Escherichia coli is necessary to produce sufficient quantities such enzymes. Deinococcus gerthermalis a moderately thermophilic bacterium has Nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide (NADH) an important coenzyme for various dehydrogenases. NADH oxidase (Nox) catalyze the oxidation NADH. Therefore, Nox versatile enzyme that can be used combination with many types biosensors. This study reveals effect expansion SD sequence leader gene D. geothermalis overexpression E. coli, shows while 1- or 2-bases Shine-Dalgarno effective. should contributed expression coli.
